Storyboard Frames presented below with bullet points expanding upon proposed idea;
- Idea for Video to be shot as a news report without the authoritive and quick presentations that is often associated to news broadcast (light Documentary). Two Voices and One Character prevalent throughout narrative presented in Video.
- The ‘First Voice’ (Character, Not dictated on gender so can Either Be Male or Female) belonging to the casual presenter who can blend into the background/locations (Not wearing suit, informal clothing) talking to the camera from time to time as well as providing voice over for other footage or potential animations or graphs that will appear in three-minute video. Presenter possibly having past experience in the world of unemployment (Either working with or was a homeless individual).
- ‘Second Voice’ will be of an actor (Not a Character within Video. There to keep privacy of individual interviewed) reading out monologues/accounts of individuals who were homeless, interacted with them in the charity’s (Help for Homeless/Jehovah’s Witnesses)or known friends/family who fit both categories addressed in this paragraph.
- Ending of video will be bittersweet due to the increase of unemployment due to the factors addressed earlier in the Statistics that can be seen below this paragraph, however the video will end with the First Character (Presenter) addressing the points established prior in a brief sentence to emphasise the importance understanding and compassion that needs to be given to the homeless in question (Along those lines).
- Maybe Presenter suggesting themselves or the individuals interviewed in the video overcome unemployment (possibly involved with charities to lead the homeless to recovery if possible) to add a sweetness to the bitter reality of the rising unemployment statistics.
Extra Statistic Below;
Dataset: A02 SA: Employment, unemployment and economic inactivity for people aged 16 and over and aged from 16 to 64 (seasonally adjusted)
Unemployed 20.4%, Retired 16.8%, Sick or Disabled 7.7%, Looking After Family 15.7%, Student 12.6 %, Other Inactive 7.3% (All make up 100% in England, updated 13 November 2018).
- Video can be set within Cambridge (City Centre?) with creative shots of architecture to begin Video. Shots of Homeless on the street could be taken from afar although the possibility of group members adopting an acting role to play a homeless man or woman could be considered. Graph Statistics could appear over moving or static footage of architecture. Statistics could be plastered over the Presenter in a moving shot to indicate transition from one scene to the next (Change of Topics).
