Interactive Narratives. Week 4. Poster for Performing Arts Students. 1.

Messages sent to Marta and Hannah (Animation and Illustration Course) who participated in the ‘VJ Animation Project’ from earlier this year (at the time this was written) to see if they show interest in this project. I done this as I haven’t had any replies from the animation students despite getting in contact with ‘Nanette Hoogslag’ prior who set up the information for the Interactive Project on Canvas for the said Animation Students.

Email sent to Emily and her response to question in whether its possible to produce an ‘Interactive Audio Drama’;

Photos below showcase the potential shots that will utilised for Idea 1 ‘Grief’ if I Further develop it for Production;

Friday Shoot (Morning):

Friday Shoot (Early Afternoon)

I done two photoshoots due to the curiosity of seeing how the landscape changes from morning to afternoon and how this could potential affect the outcome of the footage that I will shoot. The location in question is ‘Mill Road Cemetery’ opposite the Ruskin Gallery in Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge. Selected locations (and angles) during the morning and early afternoon that will be considered for the final shoot for Interactive Film can be seen below;

After Talking to Kelcy Davenport in the SGL after Friday’s lesson, I produced a more refined version of the poster created to grab attention of Performing Arts Students for the ‘Interactive Film’. Deadline and Location were changed with the added ‘ Two Day Shoot’ to make it clearer to students what’s going on if they participate in this project. I printed 10 copies and placed across the University for Week 6 as well as emailed the ‘Student Union’ clubs to see if there was any interest.

The creation of the Poster’s and the emails sent to the Student Union are pushed forward due to no responses from the ‘Performing Arts’ course, considering I have a couple of students from ‘Film and Television’ as well as ‘Music’ I feel I should make the extra effort to bring in the final components to Idea 1 (Grief).

Final Poster Below;

Second Reply from ‘Leo Oakely’ confirms interest in further working on project and awaiting updates from myself;

My Third Reply to Leo can be seen below, updating him on what’s going on during Week 6;

Hannah’s Final Reply, commenting on how she won’t be able to participate the project due to work and other commitments at the moment. I replied to her to let her know that I might send another message to her at some point to see if she’s still interested in working on project, as she said she might be able to help but not in a big way. I expanded a little bit more on the animation I have in mind for ‘Idea 1-Grief’ to reassure and give her more clarity and what to do if she wants to work with me in the coming weeks;

Screenshot bellows second update to Max, given him an idea where the locations are and what I had in mind for shots etc.

Several Screenshots of Max’s Film ‘Tengu (New Ending)’  can be seen below which I referred to in the email update to Max, selecting specific shots that I hope to replicate in the second act of my ‘Interactive Film’, with Harvard Reference. I also looked at his film ‘Questions Concerning My Friends’ which proved to provide more inspiration and hopefully influence the final second act of my ‘Interactive Film’ in collaboration with him and several others;
